Carved from matched lava

Found in France with just the frame and original wood back so we had a flat mirror cut for it and installed

Likely originally part of a set, to include an inkwell, likely stationery stand, etc. but, as is common, we often find these as single separate pieces now. Only very rarely do we find a complete set. This one likely Baccarat glass or crystal but with no markings so impossible
