A classical spiral staircase becomes a kind of loop or trap, elegant and endless, while the figure sits casually within it, caught mid gesture. Theres humour in it, but also something slightly uncomfortable. The image feels balanced and off kilter at the same time, like a pause taken in the middle of momentum. I like that
