For many years during the 1960s and 1970s, John Berkey created the paintings for the annual Texaco calendar. The theme is "Texaco Salutes the U. S. A." and Berkey depicts the scenic beauty of America: U. S. landmarks, national parks, tourist attractions and activities. For the several years, he signed the paintings "J. Conrad" as he does here.
