We have been able to use this technique to produce income streams for women throughout that region and in a region near Guatemala City that similarly has no crafts tradition

It is built entirely of foam rubber, many strips of which are cemented into rough form and then contoured into the final shape. We have covered it in a handwoven 100% cotton brocade.
