I moved along the trail towards this bridge that crosses over Eakin Creek West with the sun now breaking the horizon coming through the box elder trees

A walk through this quaint park with the freshly fallen snow and watching these pheasants "dance" was an inspiring morning to be out while enjoying this winter landscape scene in Northern Illinois

I made my way around the north end of the lake and stayed to photograph the two moose for another forty five minutes with Longs peak in the background

I didn't have to look for very long

You can usually get some pretty dramatic looking cloud patterns from the thunderstorms and that was my hope this morning.
