This classic old school type of hoop is constructed for use with claws to tension the drum head in the fashion of a standard bass drum hoop and is built from Hard Maple plies for great durability

Vintage SPV Maple Tom and Floor Tom Hoops (sold in pairs)

this allows for a shorter hoop that comes with a nicer price tag than the SP version (which conceals the head's metal ring)

and also a notch cut on both top and bottom hoop to alleviate any clearance issues with your strainer/throw-off
