Frederic Geschickt Pino, Alsace, France 2017 Chapelle-Chambertin but still lighter in bodyThis is a blend of two Pinot grape varieties, namely Pinot Gris and Pinot Auxerrois with some of the Pinot Gris coming from the amazing Grand Cru Kaefferkopf vineyard for added complexity. The vines are planted in complex terroir in several plots around Ammerschwihr which sees soils made from alluvial clay, marl, granite and limestone. This is fortunate because Pinot Auxerrois has a particular affinity for limestone and when grown in limestone also
