Ocean-Bound Collection of Mixed Plastics in Bangkok, Thailand (PWRS) Over 80% of the plasticPlastic is a major challenge in Bangkok's vast canal and waterway network, which flows directly into the Chao Phraya River and the Gulf of Thailand. Since an estimated 80% of ocean waste comes from rivers, stopping pollution upstream is vital for marine ecosystems. Since July 2020, this project partnerwhose mission is to stop the flow of waste before it reaches the oceanhas been tackling the heavily polluted Lat Phrao Canal using strategically placed
