Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 5 57.7% 70cl Bodegas Manzanos and all spiceThe 5th release of the Heavily Peated Kilkerran has been matured in a combination of 85% bourbon and 15% sherry cask. The nose is sweet, sooty peat smoke kicks off this malt, reminiscent of toasting marshmallows on a beach campfire. This combines with maritime influence typical of Campbeltown whisky, with notes of salt and fishing creels. The palate is host to ash and soot from the nose that is immediately apparent with hints of digestive biscuits.
