before our jeweler transformed it into a ring by carefully removing the chatelaine hook and welding on a split 14k yellow gold band

The gold purity has been verified via XRF and acid testing

while the 14k gold band and turquoise cabochon are later additions to the piece

there is one tiny chip to the enamel on the top left side of the piece (visible in the photos)

The turtles are mounted on lapis and dangle beneath lapis cabochon surmounts

This antique pendant features the Christian representation of the Lion of St. Mark set against white enamel and framed by a halo of natural emeralds. The wonderful piece was originally an antique stick pin (circa 1870 1890). It is 14k gold and measures 0. 75 inches from the top of the jump ring bail to the bottom of the charm by 0. 55 inches wide.
