He was a Polish Franciscan priest most famous for volunteering to die in place of a stranger at the Auschwitz concentration camp. But he had many other great accomplishments, including starting a magazine in 1922 called Knight of the Immaculata. This was in addition to the radio station and daily newspaper he started.
