I was two and a half when we emigrated to Holland. After more then fifty years I went back to Budapest, my place of birth, armed with my camera and vague but indelible memories. Searching for a mirror image of my Dutch existence, I photographed the daily lives of people with whom I felt there to be an affinity who could have been my friends.
